Nice Places in Carcassonne

This a really must have seen place in the south of France. The sweet Castle of Carcassonne (can be known from a board game) is the origin city centre of the small French town Carcassonne, that is located between Toulouse and Narbonne. When I was there in August 2011, a classic music concert took place, while we slept about 200 meters beneath the castle in our sleeping bags on a large meadow (so you won't need a hostel in summertime there). The Castle itself can be explored with a guide or by your own. You can visit the beautiful cathedral there or just have a break at one of the restaurants and cafes in the castle square.
