Under the motto "by bus and train to the countryside", the Dresden Transport offers six tour tips compiled with hiking map.
Rambler 6 offers a hike out of town starting from Körnerplatz. I have recently discovered this route - but did not walk it completely. However, I personally know a areas of the tour and I can imagine that it's a very beautiful walk above the town, as the area above the Elbe is beautifully landscaped.
The entire tour has a length of 16 km, but you can select shortcuts and walk just 8 km or 11 km.
