*** My Opinion ***
Directly opposite, on the other bank of the river Elbe (in the Loschwitz district of Dresden) are two other beer gardens - the Körnergarten and the Elbegarten. You sit there nice as well. If you just want a drink, it's all right. For food we personally prefer the Schillergarten.
