The Radisson Blu Hotel Erfurt is located in the city center of Erfurt, directly on the inner ring road (inside the ring).
To the internationally known "Krämerbrücke" (Krämer bridge) it is only a few minutes and the train station is within walking distance (you can also take the tram).

Overall, the hotel has 282 rooms in six categories:

*** "Superior Class" (3rd / 4th floor) ***
Here you find a very high quality equipment, in brown and beige tones.
Coming through the door, you stand in a small hallway from which you can go directly to the bathroom (and this bathroom is "normal" - the shower is equipped with a glass wall - so you have a view on the city or if you are a couple, also on your partner *lol*).
The living area is characterized by the described details of the standard room.
A real wardrobe is available!

*** Standard Room (5th-13th floor) ***
These rooms are suitable for one or two nights, because they are quite small though. Coming through the door, you enter a small hallway. On the left of the dressing room there is a shelf with different compartments for storage of clothes, wash bag, etc.
Then it's also equal to the bathroom - which really surprised me in the positive sense (the bathroom area itself is open and between the shower and toilet, there is only a connecting door, which is made from milk glass).
Going straight from the corridor, you get into the bedroom and living area, which consists of a desk (with integrated mini-bar) and a chair,
a double or two single beds (which can also be pushed together) and a TV.
It is worth to mention that on the first program, you will find a video about Erfurt - very interesting and helpful, if you're visiting Erfurt for the first time.

*** "Business Class" ***
(Four pieces at the 5th-13. Floor, in the corners)
Overall, these rooms a more colorful and more stylish.
Coming through the door, you get in a small hallway, to the right you have the wardrobe. Straight ahead is an open bathroom area - it is very close to the floor and sink and corner bath is in front of you (the toilet is separated by a frosted glass door).
The living and sleeping area features a desk (also with integrated mini-bar) and a chair, TV and a very comfortable sitting area (consisting of two chairs, a glass table and a Nespresso coffee machine).
The sleeping area is "separated" from the living area as it is on a pedestal - on which you find the double bed.

Suites *** (14th-16th floor) ***
The area is divided into Junior Suite, Executive and Presidential Suite.
The Junior Suites differs from the Executive Suites that you have an extra private meeting room in the Executive Suites. Otherwise, both have a living and sleeping area, a sitting area, a work desk and of course a very spacious bathroom.
The Presidential Suite has about 150 square meters and consists of two bedrooms and a living area. There is a ten meter wide windows - so you have a beautiful view over the whole town. Otherwise, it is equipment like the other suites, except of the extra sauna and jacuzzi.
In the entire suite area there are wardrobes available.

Prices of rooms vary depending on usage and category, but a standard room you get for EUR 75 (ony person) without breakfast, which two, three years struck again with EUR 17 (not sure if the price is still the same or more expensive now).

Also in terms of dining options you are well in "Radisson Blu Hotel".

At the ground floor:

*** "Classico Lounge & Bar" ***
where you get lunch and dinner. Local food is offered as well.

*** "Sports bar" ***
here you get American food and watch sport events on big screens.

Breakfast is served on the 1st Floor from 06:00 to 10:30h, on Sundays and public holidays until 11:00h. There is everything that your heart desires - assorted juices, water, a wide range of teas, milk, yoghurt, cereal, fresh fruit, freshly prepared egg dishes, waffles, sausage, cheese, fish, bread, rolls, croissants, biscuits, crisp bread, pastries and cakes.

PS:
What should be mentioned positively: you can use the gym located on the 1st floor (open 24 hours) and spa area (consisting of a steam and dry sauna, solarium and relaxation area) on the 17th floor for free during your stay.

+ + + My experience / My Opinion + + +
The Radisson chain has a soft spot in my experience it to accommodate its hotels in the highest or one of the tallest buildings in the city. That brings always "something extra" with it.

Since I am from Erfurt, we know the hotel in itself, of course has always been spread over the years and have also collected multiple experiences:

End of the 80s, then it was still called "Cosmos Hotel" I was visiting with a guest there. At that time was in the 17th Floor, where today the meeting rooms and the spa are housed a café. The fantastically beautiful views of the old town of Erfurt was the highlight! Today is Sunday brunch available in the meeting rooms. So you have at least one day of the week nor the opportunity to enjoy the view.

Mid / late 90s, we were eating dinner there frequently. We have always been completely satisfied.

The late 90s, I had to stay for business reasons and opportunity even once there. What has already irritated me a little - I can honestly say - was that the toilet was separated (as described above) only by a frosted glass door from other sanitary area and that the area with the sink was open. I found it in my personal case is not quite as bad. But I put myself in the following situation: you are with a tour group. It is a double room shared with a third party or not sooo very familiar person. Then I would have wished for a little more privacy.

During this stay, I came to enjoy the breakfast offering. At that time it was said to be the longest buffet in town. Whether it was really, I can not say because I found the buffets of the others do not know of course. And I do not know if you still lays claim to these superlative.

In 2001 we had a family celebration in the local restaurant. Again all the best.

In 2003, I also took time to spa in the 17th Floor. It's beautiful up there and the view is magnificent Steigerwald.

Later I was again there, but this time only in the lobby to pick up someone. Since I had to wait some time on my host, I had a chance to settle in the soft cushions and watch the world go by at the reception. Comfortable atmosphere.

At the end of 2010, I again had the opportunity to test the restaurants. Once I was in the Christmas season at the hotel restaurant for breakfast and once for lunch at the Bistro.

My overall impression, which was confirmed at every opportunity again: The staff are generally friendly and helpful, and the service is good.

Conclusion:
Anyone who has a well-stocked travel funds or to book a cheap deal, I recommend this hotel to you.
