GermanyTraffic Snack Frankfurt Main Train Station
Traffic Snack Frankfurt-Hauptbahnhof
TRAFFIC SNACK provides different sandwiches - called "Stulle". Meanwhile, there are two kinds of sandwiches. There are classic slices of bread (I think it's rye bread) and now also grain bread. I prefer the classic slices of bread. The bread, which is used here is really tasty. I personally prefer it covered with salami and cheese or just cheese. There is also turkey available. For two half "sandwiches" (ie, two superimposed, later halved slices of bread) you pay 2.30 EUR. The sandwiches are wrapped in plastic wrap appetizer. I prefer these sandwiches as a travel snack to the many throughout the station area in the offer contained baguette sandwiches rolls because sandwiches are better handled on the road (with baguette with pickled tomatoes, it can happen that the oil drips on your clothes - very annoying) TRAFFIC SNACK provides a lot of other things (granola to go, donuts, sandwiches, drinks and ... and ... and ...), but I personally have never bought. The "sandwiches" I would recommend for your travels.
DEPOT 1899
If you want to have a break outside of the station, try the restaurant "Depot 1899". In the summer months you can also sit outside. Opening times: Mon-Fri from 11:30h Sat and Sun from 10:00h Breakfast until 14:30h.
rewe Frankfurt-Süd
Only some minutes walk from railway station Frankfurt-Süd you find a rewe-supermarket. Open from Monday to Saturday 07:00-24:00h.
Leonhard's at Kaufhof
Leonhard's im Kaufhof
The customer restaurant on the 7th floor of the Kaufhof. You get a lunch menu + drink for just under EUR 10 (Monday to Friday, for example, special offers at 9.95 EUR - otherwise put together something for the same price). Good panoramic view from the terrace.
Arche Nova
Restaurant near the railway station Frankfurt-West. The restaurant is located in the "Ökohaus" (= eco-house). I was invited to dinner here some time ago. The atmosphere was very friendly, the menu very interesting. The restaurant describes itself on its website as follows: (quote) "The special atmosphere by a variety of plants in our restaurant is reminiscent of a green oasis and encouraged to relax and enjoy. Let us pamper you with light, fresh food at reasonable prices. My Persian roots give the kitchen an oriental touch." *** Opening times *** Monday - Saturday 11:30 to 24:00 h (hot meals until 23:00 h) Sunday 11:30 to 18:00 h, kitchen up to 16:30 h
