Price for one person: from 43 EUR This Etap Hotel (former Etap) has for me two plus points: - Good location, very close to the main train station, so also most suitable for rail passengers (often these are located right off the highway and it is not easily accessible for train travelers) - Free internet (in the rooms). This is standard in ETAP hostels. Often you won't get it in higher-priced hotels.

Steigenberger InterCity Hotels are ideal for train travelers, as they are located on or close to a railway station. The InterCityHotel Hanover is located directly beside the main railway station (ICE train connections). To the city center it is only a short walk. In InterCityHotels the hotel card is also the ticket for public transport. The InterCity Hotel Dresden has 148 rooms. Guests can check in the InterCityHotel Hanover from 14:00h and have to leave the room on departure at 12:00h. I find it very pleasant.

The Youth Hostel of Hanover, good location, close to Maschsee (lake). Space for 298 guests in total (2 and 4-bed room with washing facilities). 36 of the 43 two-bed rooms are equipped with shower and toilet, of the 46 four-bed rooms 16 showers. More showers and toilets are located on each floor. Note: Youth Hostel Association membership required.
