Good to know:

Besides for trains of State Railway DSB, Interrail is also valid on the largest private railways, Arriva and Oresundtag, allowing you to travel on almost the entire network. On the main lines starting from Copenhagen, Intercity trains run at frequent intervals to major cities such as Aarhus, Alborg, Odense and Esbjerg, but you will also find frequent connections on the other lines in the country.

Timetables are available in our schedule planner or the Interrail app which include all trains and timings. You can also check on the national schedule planner.

There are several ferries connecting Denmark with other countries. Important routes run from Copenhagen and Fredrikshavn to Oslo, from Hirtshals to Larvik, Kristiansand, Stavanger and Bergen as well as from Fredrikshavn to Göteborg and from Helsingor to Helsingborg. Only the latter is included in your Interrail Pass. Moreover a new connection from Esbjerg to Newcastle has been announced for launch in 2016.
