The Oresund trains are international regional trains mainly operating in the Oresund area around Copenhagen and Malmö. They connect Demark and Sweden through the 4km Drogden Tunnel and the 8km Oresund Bridge. On the western part of the network, from Helsingor via Copenhagen to Malmö and Lund, trains run every 20 minutes. On the eastern part there are three branches, running to Göteborg, Karlskrona and Kalmar, each of them is served by one train every hour.
Trains are modern EMU running at speeds of up to 180 km/h. They have air-condition and power sockets. Currently, trains are being fitted with WiFi, but not all trains are equipped yet. They have facilites for the disabled and a small self-service bistro. Bicycles are conveyed as well. Oresund trains offer seats in 2nd and 1st class in open-plan arrangement. In both classes there are four seats per row (2+2), arranged in rows as well as facing each other.
Seat reservations are available for seats 14-17, 24-27 and 35/37 (1st class) and 41-106 (2nd class) in coach 1, as well as for seats 142-146 in coach 2 and seats 244/246, 254-257 and 264-268 in coach 3. If you don't have a seat reservation, avoid these seats.
