The "L'Eden Theatre" is the oldest cinema in the world.
It is located near the city center and celebrated on March 21, 1899 its debut as a movie theater.
Here was produced the famous film "L'arrivée d'un train en gare de La Ciotat" ("The arrival of a train at the station of La Ciotat"), which marks the beginning of film history.
In 1995 the cinema closed and was opened from then on only once a year for a festival.
On 09 October 2013, it was extensively renovated and finally re-opened.
