PortugalElevador de Santa Justa
In the seven-hill-town, there are the ancient "elevadores" with which you can easily reach the higher districts. All "elevadores" are over 100 years old. The most famous "elevador" is the "Elevador de Santa Justa", accessible via the metro station "Baixa/Chiado". Above there is an observation deck with café. Since this is the most famous "elevador" he is accordingly quite busy. As we didn't wanted to wait in the queue, we skipped it. If I ever should come back to Lisbon, I will try again outside the tourist times. It operates between 09:00 and 21:00 h.
Ascensor da Bica
In the seven-hill-town, there are the ancient "elevadores" (ascensor) with which you can easily reach the higher districts. All "elevadores" are over 100 years old. The smallest "elevador" is the "Ascensor da Bica", accessible via the metro station "Cais do Sodre". While driving with the "Electric" No. 28, I discovered the bottom station hidden inconspicuously behind a huge door. The street where the train runs along is very narrow. You can while driving look into the windows of the houses.

Tourist Information Office Airport Lisbon
Serviço de Informações Turisticas Aeroporto Lisboa
A tourist information can be found directly at Lisbon airport. But do not trust all the information you get there. We had picked out in advance from home a bus from Lisbon to our destination. The employee of the tourist info told us an other information. Travel guide may be outdated, so we trusted him as the local people (probably) know what to do (especially working at the tourist information). Unfortunately that's not always true. We got to our destination but it was really complicate and expensive.

Public Laundry
Lavadouro Publico
Somewhere I read that public laundries are rare in Lisbon. But during our 4 days stay, we discovered two. One of them was located in the old part of town, near Santa Apolonia train station.
