Accommodation in Milan
Hotels and hostels in Milan (Italy). How and where to book the cheapest and best accommodation. Recommended by travellers.
ItalyADI Doria Grand Hotel
The ADI Doria Grand Hotel is a good hotel in Milan. We tried it because of the bad recommendations of the Italian hostels. It's a **** Hotel, with a great breakfast buffet. Stayed there for a night. Price for the double room was around 80 EUR. Staff was very polite. The Hotel is located near to the main station (Milano Centrale), just a 5 minute walk.
Youth Hostel Piero Rotta
Ostello Milano - Piero Rotta
The Youth Hostel of Milan. We were happy due to the Italian hotel prices to have found an affordable place to stay overnight. But I must say that there are better hostels. We've stayed in many hostels, but this we found both of the rooms and the building as a whole comparatively dull. Nevertheless, I would book it again due to our rather small travel budget, as in Italy compared to France are unfortunately no (or only some?) low-budget hotels available.
Hotel Ibis Milano Centro
The Ibis Milano Centro is a hotel in central Milan. You can reach the train station by foot, making it ideal for rail travelers. Tram connection to the railway station is also given (line 9). The city center can also be reached on foot. Breakfast: 8,50 EUR per person The hotel has air conditioning, but this is in April - regardless of the outside temperature - not in operation, it is operated only in the summer months.
New Generation Hostel Urban
The New Generation Hostel Urban is located close to the railway station Milano Lamberte in the student area of Milan. The city center I recommend to use the subway. I have stayed in April 2014 in the hostel. The rooms were clean and well maintained. The price level was high as the hostel is away from the city center. Also you have to pay quite high fees for extra services such as printing a paper page: EUR 1.
