Meininger City Hostel und Hotel München
The Meiniger Hostel in Munich is close to the central railway station (10 minutes walk). You can easily explore the city from there. Clean rooms and friendly staff. I already stayed there several times in a double bed room and can recommend it.
ibis budget Hotel Munich
ibis budget Hotel München
90 rooms. Price for one person: from 42 EUR (at best), but it can be quite high too around EUR 89 ... I mean, we paid EUR 70 for two people. If you are flexible and avoid trade fairs or the Octoberfest, you will get low prices. This ibis budget hotel (former Etap) gets to me three pluses: - Good location, with the subway just 10 minutes to downtown and so easily accessible for train travelers (often these hotels are located right off the highway and are not easily accessible for train travelers) - Free internet (in the rooms). This is ETAP standard and often not available at higher-priced hotels - On the neighbouring resort there is a ARAL station, where in the morning you can provide you with a croissant and coffee and the evening a snack and a freshly brewed tea (if you do not like the ETAP breakfast) Another note: the evening meal you should get somewhere in the town. The options around the hotel are not very good. If you ask at the front desk, then "Peter Ham" is recommended on a parallel street. Was acceptable but could be better. Just around the corner is the Greek restaurant with good food and a very nice service. If you are hungry, go there. :-)
InterCity Hotel Munich
InterCity Hotel München
Steigenberger InterCity Hotels are ideal for rail travellers, as they are situated directly at or very close to the railway station. The InterCityHotel Munich is located directly at the main station (ICE high speed train connection). To the city centre it is ad distance of 1 - 1,5 kilometres. In InterCityHotels the hotel card is also the ticket for public transport. The InterCityHotel Munich has 194 rooms. Guests can check in at Intercity Munich from 14:00h and must leave the room on departure at 12:00h. I find it very pleasant.
