Beer Garden in Munich - Flaucher

Biergarten in München - Flaucher

The Flaucher beer garden in the Thalkirchen district (the part of Munich, where you also find the zoo). Typical Munich beer garden with gravel, wooden tables and benches and large, shady trees in the area "Flaucher" (recreation area of Munich). Bring your own food - but you can also buy various foods there. The beer garden has space for 1700 guests. The beer garden is always open when the weather is nice (I guess from 11:00h). Note: the restaurant is only open from Thursday to Sunday from 11:00 to 20:00h.

Beer Garden in Munich - Olymipiaalm

Biergarten in München - Olymipiaalm

The Olymipiaalm is a small beer garden in the middle of the Olympic Park ("Olympiapark"). Get there by public transport (the fastest way is certainly the subway, ie with the U2/U3 to Scheidplatz or the U3 to Petuelring). Then just ask someone because it is not signposted. Approx. 10 minutes foot walk from the subway to the beer garden. Bring your own food - but you can also buy various foods there. The beer garden can accommodate 300 guests. Open daily. This beer garden is the highest beer garden in Munich, on the 564m high Olympic Mountain ("Olympiaberg"), made after the 2nd world war out of rubble. But unfortunately there is no view from the beer garden right on the city, which I found a bit unfortunate. Only from the adjacent meadow you have a good view. It is allowed to take the beer with you to this meadow.
