Hotels and hostels in Nördlingen (Germany). How and where to book the cheapest and best accommodation. Recommended by travellers.
The JUFA guesthouse is located in the heart of Nördlingen, one of the best preserved medieval cities in Germany. Located on the "Romantic Road" this unique medieval city center is surrounded by an intact city wall with eleven towers and five gates. The entire design of this house is special! Everything is related to planets. Well done! - All rooms with shower/WC - Partly private balcony - 8 rooms for guests with disabilities - The entire building is wheelchair accessible. - Meteorite Café - Internet Services - Meeting rooms (110 sqm, 60 sqm, 50 sqm) - Dining rooms - Billiards - Table Tennis - Studio with a view on city wall - Children's Room - Home theater - Music Corner - Lawn - Sun Terrace - Toddler playground - Playground - Fireplace - Bike rental - Lockable bicycle room - Sauna - Bus Parking - Laundry service Bed capacity: The hostel has a total of 185 beds. These are divided as follows: - 2 singles - 24 double rooms - 29 family rooms with 2 floors / Gallery in room Our opinion: It is a newly constructed building, which opened in 2007. It's all so topp right that I thought they had opened this year. Everything is bright and friendly, and everything is super-clean. Internet access is - for those who have their laptop with - possible. Works (in part) from the rooms. Otherwise, there is also an internet terminal. Room: The room was a 2-bed room. You can use the beds wether as two single beds or as one big bed. Our room had a private bathroom facilities (shower/toilet), very spacious. And sooo clean - something I have never seen in a hostel. Some rooms also have a balcony. This is of course very nice. The beds were made up on arrival, which of course is always nice, but especially at a late arrival even more important than normal. Two bath towels, two hand towels and a bath mat in the bathroom were ready for us. Dining: - Breakfast: The breakfast was great. Besides the usual breakfast drinks such as milk and cocoa, coffee and tea were fewer than ten soft drinks to choose from. Hard to believe. There were a variety of breads and rolls. Of course, butter and spreads (sweet spreads such as jam and chocolate cream and savory spreads). The jams are homemade! There was a sausage and a cheese plate. Of course there are as well cereals. Also a lot of fruits like apples, kiwi, nectarines and bananas. Eggs available. And - depending on the week - there's a few highlights. Carrot sticks or pepper sticks, orange letter, an additional grade grain rolls, etc., etc. - Other meals: Of course you can also participate in the lunch and/or dinner. Expect about EUR 10 per meal. - Café / Bar: The area of the café is basically integrated in the hall. Open until 22:45 h. Conclusion: we are thrilled - from the house and from the city.
