Oslo - City tour within three hours / Oslo

If you arrive with Color Line, you can at the front desk of the ship (or in advance when booking the ferry) book a city tour. This is timed precisely to the stop of the Color Fantasy and Color Magic. If you do not book via Color Line, I am sure there are as well other providers. We used color Line.

In this three-hour city tour, you can get a rough overview of the city's attractions. Getting shown the most famous promenade, Karl Johans Gate. You pass the Royal Palace, the wharf district Aker Brygge, the new opera house, the Oslo City Hall. You touch the historic downtown ("Kvadraturen") with several houses from the 17th century, also the Akershus Fortress, which was built in 1299 as a medieval castle.
You walk trough the Vigeland Sculpture Park, with the famous Gustav Vigeland sculptures. Next stop is the "roof of the city", the Holmenkollen. From there you have if the weather is clear a good view over the city and the fjord. Holmenkollen is also the famous ski jump.
Also in the program: the visit of a museum on the Bygdøy.

PS: Unfortunately it is not cheap: EUR 39 per person. But it is okay if you only have 3 hours to explore the city. If you have the possibility, stay one more night in Oslo, so you have more time.
