According to the driving directions from the hostel by bus lines 200, 204, 207, 500 is reached.

We arrived at the train station in Porto Sao Bento. Directly opposite the Tourist Information Centre. There, they gave us the advice to go with the bus 500 (runs directly on the promenade). That was not quite so clever. Although the station as the crow flies is only about 300 meters away, but with 2 x 20 kg trolley it is not funny to push uphill.
Really go directly to the hostel, the lines 504 and 207 There is also a bus stop there is the Poussada Juventude. You can even get off one stop early Paulo da Gama (coming out on's same).

Note: The line 207 also goes directly from Sao Bento (the line 504 goes from Casa da Musica).

Opposite you have a small supermarket Pingo Doce. In addition to the supermarket, an Italian restaurant.
Appr. 500 meters towards the city center (also in the district of Fluvial) there is another supermarket Supercor (chain El Corte Inglesh), which provides a very high quality range.

In opposit you find a beautiful park (Pasteleira) with picnic area too.

Furthermore, you can take bus 504 to the shopping mall Norte. There have been many food options.

Generally, we recommend purchasing a 1-day pass (5 EUR) or a 3-day ticket (11 EUR) for public transportation. Note: The cards are indeed available at the terminus of Sao Bento, but not at the Campanha - although there there are four metro lines.
