The hotel is ideally centrally located, only three minutes to the central square with the big palm trees - the absolute center of the city - and just five minutes from the sea (swimming at the black lava beach).

It's also very close to the city bus terminal. Early in the morning it is already busy. Sometimes I woke up in the morning by the arriving and departing buses.

Facilities:

- Category 3 stars
- Small middle class hotel (approximately 100 rooms)
- Small pool on the roof terrace (views of the city)

From the outside of the facade is nothing special, but absolutely okay. Not shabby or so.
The entrance and the stairs with the marble staircase is inviting.

The lounge area was cozy with the wicker chairs. I was impressed with the many birds of paradise flower decoration (which are typical for the island, as well offered as a holiday gift - packed in a box).

The highlight during the stay for us was the pool on the roof. Because you can use the sun really long and it is not restricted by buildings that cast shadows. Over the roofs of the city, it's just a completely different feeling than a walk-in pool. And then there was the view of Teide ...

Rooms:

What can you expect? Room with shower/WC, telephone, and a balcony
(Warning - Important The single rooms are located exclusively to the courtyard and have NO balcony!!)

Our room was of a good average of the arrangement and the pictures in the catalogs or the hotel brochure is quite the reality.

However: First we had been allocated a fairly dark room acting at the bottom of the hotel. The smell was not pleasant. My partner went to reception and asked to change rooms. And we got an other one immediately.
We lived then for the duration of our two week stay in a room on the 4th Floor (with shower/WC and a balcony) and were satisfied.

The fact that our room was relatively high up, we had a good view of the surrounding streets and houses.
The balcony was furnished with a small round table and two white plastic garden chairs.

The food:

The breakfast room was bright, the breakfast at the hotel, however (although "Buffet") is ... let's say "Southern-typical" (for German minds, it could be called "barren"). The liquid, which is called orange juice is scary. I can live with it. But it is difficult to understand as in Spain (and also here in the Canaries) every supermarket offers fresh orange juice in bottles for sale.

Dinner is not offered at the hotel, but you take it in a restaurant across the street. To this restaurant a **** star hotel is attached and both the service and the quality of the food was very good.

Things to do:

The Loro Park and the sea water swimming pool can easily be reached.
