Bars and Pubs in Rome
Good bars and pubs in Rome (Italy). To have a drink in the evening and spend some time with friends.

Caffè Tazza D'oro
Before my journey I heard already from this coffee bar or read about it and then discovered it on the first day. Right at the Pantheon, just around the corner. *** Opening times *** from 07:00 (?) to 20:00

Antico Caffè Santamaria
Not far from Roma Termini Station and just off Piazza di Santa Maria Maggiore. If you are lucky and get a place at the window, you have a beautiful view of the church. However, the view is expensive. You pay for an espresso 4 EUR. For comparison: an espresso at the famous Piazza Navona is EUR 3.50. The existance of Santa Maria Maggiore is (supposedly?) thanks to the "snow miracle" of 5 August 352. On this day, thick flakes have fallen at the place where the church stands today. Subsequently, Pope Liberius built the church there.
