ItalyThe traffic in Rome appears to the Central Europeans chaotic. Those who still want to ride a bike (note: you can see very little cyclists in the cityscape!) can do it possibly relatively safe on the little bike path, which have been created on the Tiber along a length of about 5.5 km.
Otherwise, I have (of course only after our stay in Rome) read that there will be cycle paths as follows:
- North of the city ... from Castel Giubileo to Ponte Milvio (about 25 km)
- The center of town to Ponte Sublicio (about 10 km)
- south of the city to Ponte Mezzocammino (approximately 15 km)
