Food and Restaurants in Sesimbra
Find nice restaurants in Sesimbra (Portugal). Places to eat. And where you can buy food, such as supermarkets.
PortugalSupermercado Mini Preço
Medium size supermarket at the bus station. Open from 09:00 to 21:00 h (also on Sunday).
Pizzaria Pôr do Sol
Most of the restaurants are fish restaurants. But there are at least as well two Italian food restaurants. This one I can recommend. Nice view on the sea from the 1st floor. Staff is English speaking. Example: Water (with gaz) 0.25 l = 1,00 EUR Beer = 1.50 EUR Glass of Vinho Verde = 1.50 EUR Olives = 1.20 EUR Garlic bread = 1.50 EUR Tomato and mozzarella = 4.00 EUR Goat cheese = 5,00 EUR Fettucine, vegetarian = 7,50 EUR Seafood pizza = 8,00 EUR Café = 0.65 EUR
Restaurant Pedra Alta
Seafood restaurant right on the waterfront. Here are two seafood restaurants across the street. Both are a bit expensive, but have the advantage have multi-lingual menu cards. The cheese appetizers (regional cheese very good quality): EUR 5 The seafood platter for two persons: EUR 25 House wine (expensive - better to select one from the menu card): EUR 14
A Tasca da Nelinha
Simple restaurant at the waterfront. Advantage: at the entrance is a big sign with the daily/weekly offers. So you can already choose there and get an idea of what to eat as the waitress don't speak English. First we did not wanted to go in, as it looked like an snack bar. As we saw an other bar ordered their meals from there, we thought we can give it a try as it can't be that bad. The dishes we got were "average". The meat was tough. And our clothes smelled like "kitchen". My personal opinion: we won't come back here.
Tasca do Treze
According to our guidebook a very popular restaurant. In the summer months there are sometimes queues. Unfortunately we did not had the possibility to test it due to winter season. But it looked inviting.
Mastro
This restaurant is located right on the waterfront. It is the first one viewed from Hotel do Mar. Watch out! In the building are two restaurants, so use the left entrance! The ground floor has a few small tables, but on the first floor there are plenty of places with great views of the sea. We went there and I highly recommend it. Unfortunately we have discovered it much too late, otherwise we would surely have been there many times! The staff speaks English. A daily menu you is EUR 8.50 (incl. drink and coffee!)
