The "Pont Neuf" is - despite of its name ("New Bridge") - the oldest bridge in Toulouse. It connects the old town to the other side of Toulouse. The approximately 220-meter-long bridge was built from 1544 to 1632, but officially opened 27 years after the end of construction by Louis XIV.
