Sightseeing in Turin
Sightseeing in Turin (Italy). What you have to visit at your stay in Turin.
ItalyMonte dei Cappuccini
Monte dei Cappuccini is an hill very close to the city centre where from you can admire the whole town. From the central Via Po, walk across the bridge on the river, beside the 'Gran Madre Cathedral' and right up to the hill: it will take only 15 minutes.
Piazza Vittorio Veneto
This is one of the best squares (piazza) in Turin. It's in the heart of the city and a good starting point for a night out thanks to all the bars / clubs serving 'Apericena', a larger version of the original 'Aperitivo'. Pay for one drink (10€) and eat as much as you can.
Piazza Castello
This is THE main square in Turin. When you walk around it, you seem to change historical periods: on one side there is an original medioeval castle, on the other one the luxury royal palaces of the previous monarchs. In addition, the whole piazza is surrounded by arcades and shops underneath, so this is beautiful to visit even in a cloudy or rainy day. The museums of Polo Reale and Palazzo Madama are right here.
