Ramble 2 in Dresden - Tradition und Villen am Elbhang in Loschwitz
Streifzug 2 in Dresden - Tradition und Villen am Elbhang in Loschwitz
Dresden transport offers hiking tours - you can download a map in the Internet. Ramble 2 goes to the district of Loschwitz, which I personally like very much. For the route from Körnerplatz you should allow 2.5 hours of your time.

Ramble 3 in Dresden - Hellerau - Erste deutsche Gartenstadt
Streifzug 3 in Dresden - Hellerau - Erste deutsche Gartenstadt
Dresden Transport offers six tour tips including a hiking map (available as download in the Internet). Ramble 3 goes into the district of Hellerau, which I visited some time ago (unfortunately without the leaflet). This specific tour is certainly better than simply stroll through the town. For the route in Hellerau calculate 2 hours. A connection route is possible, then plan another 2.5 hours.

Ramble 6 in Dresden - Unterwegs auf dem Dichter-Musiker-Maler-Weg
Streifzug 6 in Dresden - Unterwegs auf dem Dichter-Musiker-Maler-Weg
Under the motto "by bus and train to the countryside", the Dresden Transport offers six tour tips compiled with hiking map. Rambler 6 offers a hike out of town starting from Körnerplatz. I have recently discovered this route - but did not walk it completely. However, I personally know a areas of the tour and I can imagine that it's a very beautiful walk above the town, as the area above the Elbe is beautifully landscaped. The entire tour has a length of 16 km, but you can select shortcuts and walk just 8 km or 11 km.

Neustadt Market Hall
Neustädter Markthalle
While walking through the Neustadt have a look on it. Architecturally very nice and also well suited in my view for a break during your walk, perhaps have an espresso or a little snack. *** Opening times *** Monday - Saturday: 08:00 - 20:00 h

Kunsthofpassage
A truly colorful area: five differently designed courtyards. Various restaurants and cafés invite you to stay and galleries and shops to have a look on them. How to get there by public transportation: - Tram line 3 until the stop "Albertplatz", then on foot to the Alaunstraße - about 10 minutes walk. - Tram lines 7 and 8 to stop "Bischofsweg", then on foot to the Bischofsweg and Alaunstraße - about 10 minutes. - Tram lines 6 and 11 to stop "Bautzner Str./Rothenburger Str.", then on foot to Rothenburgerstraße and Görlitzer Street - 10 minutes walk. - Tram 13 to "Görlitzer Strasse", walk about 5 minutes

Arts and crafts arcades
Kunsthandwerkerpassagen
Between Hauptstraße 9 and 19 there are small passages and courtyards at the Baroque town houses. Cafes and restaurants invite you to stay and small shops to shop.

A walk in the footsteps of Erich Kaestner
Ein Rundgang auf den Spuren Erich-Kästners
Some time ago I visited the Erich Kästner Museum. Now I discovered that you can do as well a tour on your own.
