Thalys is a high speed train operating from Paris to Brussels and onwards to either Amsterdam or Cologne. On the main route from Paris to Brussels trains run up to every 30 minutes while on the lines to Amsterdam and Cologne trains run every one or two hours.The trains operate at speeds of up to 300 km/h. Thalys uses two versions of the French TGV trains. The Thalys PBA (Paris/Bruxelles/Amsterdam) can operate in France, Belgium and the Netherlands. The Thalys PBKA (Paris/Bruxelles/Köln/Amsterdam) can also operate in Germany.
All trains have the same configuration and facilites.

Thalys offers three different travel classes.
- Standard: four seats per row (2+2) with seats in rows as well as facing each other
- Comfort: three seats per row (2+1) with seats in rows as well as facing each other
- Premium: three seats per row (2+1) with seats in rows as well as facing each other (same as in Comfort) with extra services: meal, drinks, newspapers included
Additional seasonal Thalys services operate once weekly from Amsterdam to Bourg St Maurice (Thalys Neige, in winter) and Marseille (Thalys Soleil, in summer).
