Nice Places in Lisbon
Find nice places in Lisbon (Portugal), to stay and relax. Often located beside the beaten main tourist tracks.
PortugalMiradouro da Nossa Senhora do Monte
Beautiful view over Lisbon.
Miradouro de São Pedro de Alcântara
Watch the sun rise over the old Castelo de Sao Jorge.
Miradouro de Santa Luzia
Marvellous view over Alfama.
Christ the King
Cristo Rei
The Christo-Rei is a statue of Christ, which is located in the town of Almada, a suburb of Lisbon (on the other side of the Tagus river). The statue stands on a 75 m high base. It is located 113 meters above the River Tagus. The statue itself is 28 meters high and depicts Christ with open arms because that directs to the 25 de Abril Bridge and the city of Lisbon. The location of the statue is also one of the best view points of Lisbon. You can also use an elevator to the platform of the statue. Costs EUR 4 (May 2011). From the lift is a very narrow staircase up to the observation deck. I wouldn't use it again. The view from the square in front of the statue is also fine. However, if you don't have problems with narrow stairs, go to the top.
Clara Clara
Nice park with a nice view and a good café pavilion. We can recommend TOSTA CLARA and SANDES CLARA. :-)
Park of the Nations
Parque das Nações
1998 the World's Fair held took place in Lisbon. Today the area is used as a park. At the time of our visit, the cable car was unfortunately out of service. Otherwise you can get a good overview of the entire area.
Miradouro Santa Catarina
Definitely beautiful, but unfortunately construction site in May 2013.
Miradouro da Graça
This viewpoint can be reached most conveniently on the historic tram line 28 to Graça and then a little bit of walking. Next to the church Igreja da Graça a small cafe invites to stay. Clean toilet facilities are available at this vantage point.
Eduardo VII Park
Parque Eduardo VII
The Parque Eduardo VII is a great park in Lisbon. There are both, picnic areas and a café (with indoor and outdoor service).
