frischback-Haus Weimar

I would describe the Frischbackhaus as mix of cafe and bistro. It was opened in Weimar on Easter 2009. There is space to sit on ground level and also on the first floor. During the warmer months you can sit outside. OOO Location OOO Exactly where the pedestrian hits the Theaterplatz (from the Theaterplatz with view to the National Theatre - with the Goethe and Schiller monument in the foreground - the Frischbackhaus is on your left hand). Coming from the direction of the market go along the Schillerstraße in the direction of the Theaterplatz, then the Frischbackhaus is located on the left. OOO Opening times OOO Monday through Friday from 0700 to 2000 h Saturday from 0800 to 2000 h Sundays and holidays from 0800 to 1800 h OOO Offer / range OOO Breakfast and Brunch Hot Food Coffee specialties Oven-fresh baked goods *** Breakfast all day *** Can have breakfast here all day long - no matter what time of day. A variety of different breakfast types is on offer - both savory and sweet, both hearty and light. *** Lunching *** Quickly prepared hot meals. OOO Excerpt from the menu card, and our consumption OOO What I find quite nice: the offers are matched by name to the host city and also aligned with the seasons. Here are a few examples from the breakfast menu: * Anna Amalia in the morning * Thinkers breakfast * Goethe-breakfast * Weimar diversity * Goethe's love affairs * Artists compositions *** Spring *** Basket of breakfast rolls with butter, cream cheese, ham, scrambled eggs with fresh chives and a glass of orange juice (5.95 EUR) *** Summer *** Italian omelet of two eggs with mozzarella and tomatoes, served with slices of Italian country bread (4,50 EUR) *** Autumn *** Basket of breakfast rolls with butter, honey or jam, cream cheese, Italian sausage, scrambled eggs with tomatoes, fruit salad and a glass of orange juice (5.95 EUR) *** Winter *** Basket of breakfast rolls with butter, jam or honey, marinated salmon with honey-mustard dip, cheese, boiled egg and a glass of orange juice (5.50 EUR) We were there during the day: 1 x Schlemmerschnitte = 4,50 EUR 1 x Strammer Max = 4,50 EUR A cherry juice and apple juice 0.3 l = 1,80 EUR One espresso = 1,60 EUR *** Schlemmerschnitte *** A slice of rye bread with cole slaw on grilled meat loaf on top and covered with two fried eggs *** Strammer Max *** Bread, with butter, cubed ham out on top and two fried eggs OOO special OOO *** Hotspot *** *** Discount for students *** You can apply in the store a "student pass". Creperie du Palais Weimar

On 17 June 2000, opened the Creperie du Palais. As the name suggests, it's in the French style and is referred to as Creperie. The owners are a German-French family. The location is - unfortunately - quite small. We sat outside and everything was okay. In front of the entrance there is a single small table. But don't be fooled. Just cross the small street and you will find a few small round tables under beautiful old trees. But watch out! Not all tables belong to the Creperie! (only the tables in the left pane, the tables on the right side belong to the pizzeria) It was a warm summer day. It was wonderful to sit in front of the old walls in the shade of large trees. Just perfect. However, we fear that we will have no chance to get a seat in the winter months when you have to sit inside. Location The Creperie is totally centralized, absolute in the city center. Near the Wittumspalais. Opening times Whenever I was in Weimar, it was always open. I remember it was written open from 1100h (I'm not sure). How long - I did not even care. Range Galettes and crepes of all kinds; We ordered crepe with orange marmalade - highly recommended! And we had café au lait. The prices are pretty cheap (often the case when a lot of students live in the town). Of course there is also cider available.
