Deutsche Bahn offers train tickets from selected destinations in Sweden to Germany, called "Sparpreis Europa". The ticket fare starts at 37 EUR.

These train tickets are available from cities such as Gothenburg, Stockholm and Malmö to Germany. They always include transit through Denmark on InterCity, EuroCity and ICE trains. From Sweden to Copenhagen, tickets are only available for travel on SJ high-speed trains (marked "X2000" when booking) or Öresundståg trains.

2b Travelling from Copenhagen (Denmark) to Munich (Germany)

To travel from Denmark to Germany by train, use one of the daily connections which usually runs via Hamburg. Please use the following booking links to find schedules and ticket prices. The "Europe Special" price of Deutsche Bahn is available from EUR 39. As earlier you book, as cheaper the prices are.

If you want to include a night train, there is currently only one IC train travelling overnight from Copenhagen (Denmark) to Hamburg (Germany). In 2021 a new line will open from Stockholm via Copenhagen to Hamburg and Berlin.

To travel in Sweden by train, please buy your ticket via one of the following booking links. There you find exact schedules and ticket prices. If you book early in advance, you will get attractive discount prices. Beside the Swedish state railway SJ, several operators are available. It is usually no problem to buy your ticket in one step even using different operators. For long-distance travel, use one of the comfortable night train connections. 3b Travelling from Stockholm (Sweden) to Copenhagen (Denmark)

To travel from Stockholm to Copenhagen by train, you have frequent direct SJ X2000/Snabbtåg trains - at least every two hours. The journey time is about five hours. More connections are available with change in Malmö including an Öresundståg on the second part.

There is even the option to use a night train: first by SJ night train NT1 from Stockholm to Malmö. There you change to an Öresundståg via the Öresund Bridge to Copenhagen.

3c Travelling from Copenhagen (Denmark) to Hamburg (Germany)
