Deutsche Bahn offers train tickets from selected destinations in Sweden to Germany, called "Sparpreis Europa". The ticket fare starts at 37 EUR.

These train tickets are available from cities such as Gothenburg, Stockholm and Malmö to Germany. They always include transit through Denmark on InterCity, EuroCity and ICE trains. From Sweden to Copenhagen, tickets are only available for travel on SJ high-speed trains (marked "X2000" when booking) or Öresundståg trains.

2a Travelling from Malmö (Sweden) to Copenhagen (Denmark)

To travel by train from Malmö (Sweden) to Copenhagen (Denmark) you travel via the Oresund Bridge. The Oresund Bridge has a length of about eight kilometres and connects Sweden with Denmark.

You travel from Malmö to Copenhagen by the direct and frequent (every 20 minutes) Öresundståg train.

3b Travelling from Stockholm (Sweden) to Copenhagen (Denmark)

To travel from Stockholm to Copenhagen by train, you have frequent direct SJ X2000/Snabbtåg trains - at least every two hours. The journey time is about five hours. More connections are available with change in Malmö including an Öresundståg on the second part.

There is even the option to use a night train: first by SJ night train NT1 from Stockholm to Malmö. There you change to an Öresundståg via the Öresund Bridge to Copenhagen.
